AI Meeting Notes
Automatic transcription, summaries, and action items for every meeting.
Overview
Amie's AI Meeting Notes automatically transcribes your calls, generates summaries, and extracts action items—all without a bot joining your meeting.
How It Works
- Join your meeting — Google Meet, Zoom, or any video call
- Click Record — Amie captures system audio locally
- Meeting ends — Audio is uploaded for processing
- AI processing — Transcription → Summary → Action Items
- Review notes — Edit and share with attendees
Bot-Free Recording
Unlike other tools, Amie doesn't add a bot to your meetings:
| Traditional Tools | Amie | |-------------------|------| | Bot joins as participant | No bot—just you | | Others see "Recording" | Private recording | | Bot can be blocked | Works everywhere | | Requires meeting access | Local capture |
Requirements: Desktop app (macOS or Windows)
Transcription
How Transcription Works
- Audio is captured locally on your device
- Uploaded securely after the meeting ends
- Transcribed via AssemblyAI (primary) or Replicate (fallback)
- Speaker diarization identifies who said what
Language Support
Amie uses a universal speech model with automatic language detection:
- Set preferred languages in Settings → Transcription
- Single language mode available for better accuracy
- Multi-language meetings are supported
AI Summaries
After transcription, AI generates a summary including:
- Key discussion points — Main topics covered
- Decisions made — Outcomes and agreements
- Context — Background information discussed
- Next steps — What was agreed to happen next
Summaries are generated using Claude (Anthropic) or GPT-4.
Action Items
Amie automatically extracts action items from your conversations:
- Task description — What needs to be done
- Assigned owner — Based on conversation context
- Estimated duration — AI-suggested time needed
- Speaker attribution — Who mentioned it
Converting to Todos
Action items can be converted to Amie todos:
- Open your meeting notes
- Find an action item
- Click Add to Todos
- The task appears in your todo list
Editing Notes
All generated content is fully editable:
- Transcripts — Fix misheard words or names
- Summaries — Add context or corrections
- Action items — Modify tasks or assignments
Changes are saved automatically.
