Connect Amie to Slack to automatically share meeting notes, summaries, and recording links with your team.

Integration Types

Amie offers two types of Slack integration:

Personal Integration

Share meeting notes to your own Slack DMs. Any user can set this up.

Workspace Integration

Share to team channels. Requires a Slack workspace admin to configure.

Setup

Personal Integration

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Meeting Notes
  2. Find Slack and click Connect
  3. Choose Personal
  4. Authorize Amie in the Slack OAuth flow
  5. Notes will be shared to your DMs

Workspace Integration

  1. Have a Slack admin go to Settings → Integrations → Meeting Notes
  2. Find Slack and click Connect
  3. Choose Workspace
  4. Authorize Amie for the workspace
  5. Configure which channels receive notes

What Gets Shared

When you share a meeting to Slack, it includes:

  • Meeting title and date
  • AI summary — Key discussion points
  • Action items — With assigned owners
  • Recording link — If the meeting was recorded
  • Attendees — Who was in the meeting

Sharing to Channels vs DMs

The integration supports both:

  • Channels (prefix: C) — Team channels for group visibility
  • Direct Messages (prefix: U) — Private shares to individuals

Customizing Notifications

Personal Integration

All shares go to your Slack DMs automatically.

Workspace Integration

Admins can configure:

  • Default channels for meeting notes
  • Which types of meetings trigger shares
  • Notification formatting preferences

Sharing a Meeting

After a meeting with notes:

  1. Open the meeting in Amie
  2. Click Share
  3. Select Slack from the share options
  4. Choose channel or DM
  5. Click Send

Troubleshooting

Can't Connect Slack

  • Personal: Ensure you're logged into the correct Slack workspace
  • Workspace: Verify you have admin permissions

Notes Not Appearing

  1. Check that the integration is still connected in Settings
  2. Verify you have access to the target channel
  3. Look in Slack's Apps section for Amie messages

Reconnecting

If the integration stops working:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Click Disconnect next to Slack
  3. Reconnect using the setup steps above

Privacy

  • Meeting notes are sent via Slack's API
  • Only the content you explicitly share is sent
  • You control what gets shared and where
